I have been planning of making this kutchinta for such a long time. It's one of my favorite kakanin or snack back in the Philippines. I have seen a box of kutchinta (ready mix) in asian store, but I know nothing can beat a freshly made kutchinta. Last weekend, I finally had the guts to try making kutchinta on my own. I was really nervous for it was my first time.

I even grated my very own fresh coconut to go along with my kutchinta. After a long anticipation, I finally had the first taste of my kutchinta... This kutchinta tasted absolutely, delicious! It was PERFECT! I cannot believe it myself. I just did it! I made it for the first time and it came out divine! Top it with freshly grated coconut and it was heaven!

I am so happy that this kutchinta was a big success! I can finally make kutchinta on my own and I feel proud about that. Never in my entire life did I think, that I will be cooking kutchinta... haha! I love it so much that I ate all of them ... that's how good it was!

I will be making this again anytime, soon. The kutchinta is going to be judge by my dear friends. I hope they will like it, as much as I do (which I think, they will!). Yahhooo!

Yummy Pandesal

I made this yummy hot pandesal the other day and it came out super, good! I did make it again last saturday for a gathering and my friends go crazy with this. My house smells like bakery everytime I made some hot pandesal. Nothing beats than a fresh hot pandesal! It is soft, but not super duper soft, compare to the one back home. But, I am still proud! I had tried several pandesal recipe before and they are as hard as rock, the day after! LOL!

I am getting closer on achieving that perfect pandesal (for me, anyway). Next time, I will let it rise for at least 6 hrs and see if it will be super duper soft. If you are interested of making your own pandesal, here's the recipe. If you got any questions, pls feel free to ask.

Pandesal Recipe

Ingredients:

2 tablespoon shortening
1 cup warm water
5 tablespoon sugar
2 small sachet yeast
1 tablespoon salt
4 and 1/2 cups bread flour
1 cup boiling water
plain bread crumbs
cheesecloth

Directions:

1. Combine bread flour, shortening, sugar, salt and boiling water in a large mixing bowl (if you got KitchenAid mixer, the better).

2. Mix 1 cup warm water and the dry yeast. Stir until well blended. Let stand for 5 minutes or until bubbly.

3. Add the water-yeast mixture to the mixing bowl. Knead until dough is form but still little bit sticky (5-7 minutes using KitchenAid mixer).

4. Cover with cheesecloth and let rise in warm place until double in size (I put mine inside the oven, just make sure your oven is turn-off) for at least 40 mins.

5. Punch down dough to release air and turn out on a lightly floured surface. Roll the dough into a long log (just like making embutido). Cut and divide dough into 24 equal parts and shape into ovals.

6. Roll in bread crumbs. Place on greased cookie sheets. Cover with cheesecloth, let rise in warm place (inside the oven) for another 40 minutes to an hour.

7. Bake at 375°F for 15 to 17 minutes or until golden brown.

The basement in our house is so huge, it can be transform into anything we want it. My husband has a great plan for his future man cave, but it will take a lot of work. We are thinking of finishing the basement on our own to help save money. Yep, diy or do it yourself!

Its not gonna be easy task but we are positive that we can do it. But first, we have to choose the best basement tile that is kids friendly, as well. Its winter season, alright. But honestly, it doesn't feel like it. Usually, its double worse than this. We've been having such a nice weather lately. I am not complaining, I am greatful! Its just kind of weird, you know? Like yesterday, it reached up to 54F and it was just gorgeous! I wouldn't mind not having too much snow this season.. LOL!

Today is cloudy but the weather isn't too bad. Its cold but not super cold. I was suppose to go out today, but decided to just stay home. I will do my errands tomorrow! Doing lots of laundry right now and other chores. My kids are taking their nap, so its really quite right now...which I really like, lol!

I am loving this winter season so far! I hope it stays mild all year long

I thought we will have a white christmas this year but nope, none of that happen. The forecast can be wrong sometimes and end up dissapointing some kids. My boys was all excited when I told them it will be snowing! Woke up with zero snow on the ground, LOL! Anyways, forecast said it will be snowing on new year's eve. Wow! Guess, we will start the 2012 with lots of snow. I am not really fan of snow anymore, but my kids are longing to play in the snow. I actually, wanted to snow for picture purposes.. hehe.

I am actually surprise that we don't have any snow storm, yet. We had really early last year, around November. I don't know what that means, but it usually snow around November or December in central Ohio. Very odd, indeed.

My body is aching like crazy. We made it home safe and sound last saturday night. Thanks for all the condolences and prayers. The funeral wasn't easy, it was very hard to bid goodbye to our dear dad. It was really cold and windy, too. We decided to go back to Ohio, few hours after the burial. It was a very long trip but glad the boys were cooperating, even though they don't feel good. My boys are still sick and its been days now. Thinking about calling their pedia tomorrow and have them check-in.

Its tuesday night and I am doing tons of laundry. I will be ironing clothes here in a few, while hubby attend the kids. I want to rest and relax but there's just no time for that. Its been a busy, tough week for all of us. Our christmas is going to be a bitter-sweet this year. We will forever miss our dear, dad.

I haven't sleep last night at all. My son got sick and hearing my father inlaw's death was even worst. We cannot believe it and we are still in denial. I feel really sorry for my husband for he loved his dad, very much. I always prayed that Lord God will give him more years, so he could spend more time with his kids and grandkids. Unfortunately, he passed away right before he could see his youngest grandchild. We are all hurt and mourning.....

It is very hard to loss a loved one during the holidays. We are all saddened by this news. The whole family are going to Illinois either tomorrow or friday, I am not sure yet. Road trip with sick kids aren't gonna be easy, but we need to be there. Please pray for our dad's soul and for us to have a safe trip to Illinois.

to get enough sleep. Woke up a little bit late today, but its okey. This gloomy and cold weather makes me sleep for more, but I have little ones to attend. Anyways, I planned on going out today and browse for more christmas decors. I have to wait until my son gets home from school and we will all go out.

This house needs more things! LOL! Too much space to fill, indeed. Little bit at a time or it will drive me insane, haha. First christmas in this house, happy and excited! We already got most of what the boys asked for christmas. Few more and we are done.

I made this Ham and Navy Bean-Soup for hubby's birthday and it was a hit! It taste absolutely, delicious. Yesss, I am bragging about it! LOL! I wouldn't anyway, if its not that wonderful. It taste even better with honey cornbread. My boys who are picky eaters, just dig into it!

I haven't heard my husband complain about his back lately, which I am glad. When his back hurt, it really bothers him. The pain usually, last for days. It is very hard on him, because we have small kids that needs to deal with. I feel so sorry for him but there's nothing I can do. I told him to have it check to our family doctor so many times, but he is very stubborn about it.

I wanted for him to try conservative treatments, first. If conservative treatments are not relieving his back pain, it may be time to consider a spinal laser surgery. I am happy its friday. I was suppose to run some errands today, but its really cold outside. Another cold day tomorrow, but I don't have any choice. Celebrated hubby's birthday yesterday and it was great! I believe the birthday boy had a wonderful birthday together with his family. I decided to cook this time rather than eating outside. We had fun!

I bet you guys started your christmas shopping already. As for me, not yet. I was planning of going out shopping during black friday, but time did not permit me to do so. Anyways, I still got plenty of time. I am excited for this holidays! I just love Christmas!

I am making homemade pizza tonight! Well, I always do. I will try using fresh basil, fresh ricotta and tomatoes for toppings this time. I usually go with mushrooms, onions and ham pizza. My babies are sick.

Gosh, my heart is bleeding while watching my kids being sick. All three of them has runny nose and soar throat. The two older ones had fever last week. My 9 month old started coughing last night and having serious runny nose. I hope he won't get any fever like his two older brothers!

My oldest child had the fever and soar throat first. I believe he got it from his school. I don't know what kind of bug we got. Hubby's throat has been hurting since friday and I had chills and runny nose. Woke up today feeling like crap. I think I am going to have a soar throat, too... sigh!

Everybody in this household are sick. I want to take some rest but I can't. My babies aren't feeling well and I have to attend them. It break my heart hearing my boys cough so hard, especially, my youngest who is only 9 months old. I only wish for this bug to go away, asap!

The cool and windy weather lately is no help at all. It's that time of year again, where people get sick due to weather changing. I just hope my hubby and babies will feel better very soon... hayyy....

Soft Curls

I love to play around with my hair when I have lots of time. Creating soft curls is my favorite thing to do. But, with small kids for the meantime, curling my hair is impossible. As well all know, curling hair takes plenty of time, too.

Anyways, I am thinking of visiting my favorite salon and have my hair semi-perm. I have a friend who always had her hair semi-perm and its beautiful! Best thing about it? It's not forever curls. My hair looks so boring right now.

It's very thin and no flaws at all. I wanted to have a soft curls for a change. Semi-perm sounds good to me. I heard its good for like 6 months. I have to search and read more about it before doing do. I want to make sure that it is safe and won't ruin my hair much more! But yessssssssssss, I am excited to see myself with soft curls for at least months! Yayy!

Maybe next week I will go malling and try not to over purchase. I am very bad with that. That's something I've been working for years now, lol! I just go crazy, especially, if there's 80% markdown going on.. weew! How I love shopping!

Happy Columbus Day! Hope you guys had fun shopping today, hehe. As for me, spent the entire weekend with my loved ones. Went to pumpkin patch yesterday and did more painting on the wall today. We painted the boys room and we are half way there. I love the blue and orange combo. I picked 3 colors for their bedrooms, blue, orange and green. It feels good to know that we are starting to accomplish small things in this house. Next project, paint the master's bedroom.

Anyways, my weekend was really awesome. My sweet mother inlaw came over to visit us. My boys enjoy every moment they have their grandma beside them. They just love her so much! It was nice to see her again. Last time I saw her was when I gave birth to my youngest child, which was January. I am very lucky to have an easy going and loving mother inlaw! Love her so much.

equals....... happy me! Finally, I was able to pig out some food that I really craved. I've been wanting to eat some smoke fish for a long time now. All of the moving process, mess me up. I can't remember the last time I had smoke fish or better know in the Philippines as "Buwad". My dinner was delish! Paired with white rice and chilli-vinegar sauce. It was heaven!

Now relaxing and doing some blogging. It is such a great day for me. I was able to do some house chores, too. Tomorrow is another busy day waiting for me. I need to make my grocery list for friday. The weather has already changed. It went from warm to cool. Falling leaves are everywhere. I can smell the autumn season. It's finally here!

No more sundresses and flipflops. I already put my summer clothes away and took out all winter clothing. I am definitely not ready for cold weather. But I'm afraid, I have no choice.

Month of October is approaching. Won't be long and we will say good bye- September. Days have gone really fast! Thanksgiving is gonna be here before we know it.

I have been sitting in this computer chair, whole day! I did not do anything today but explore the web. Yikes! Well, I spent most of my time cleaning and doing chores. I think, I deserve to take a break even for just one day, you know? LOL! Off here in a few to pick-up my son.

.... stress. Geez, my pimples are getting annoying! I am aware about the fact that I been really stress, lately. But I can't help it. I have so many things to do and the last thing I know, I am already stress. I am losing more weight which I do not intend to happen. My, this is not good at all...

I can tell when I am super stress, because I lose weight unexpectedly and pimples are all over my face. I tried really hard- to calm down and not overthink things. I even go to sleep earlier than I usually do. I think, I won't be stress anymore when everything goes back to normal. We just moved in to our new house, so just imagine all the WORK.

I wish all this pimples will leave me alone! LOL! They are just too ugly and I definitely don't want them.. huhu. I hate, hate, being super stress!

.... is what we are having for dinner, tonight. I feel lazy to cook today so why not make a quick sphagetti and meatballs! Besides, my boys has been asking for it. They just love it! I love it too. The weather is soooo perfect today. Took advantage by going out with my kids. Went to my favorite store and browse on autumn decor. I found a very cute autumn table runner that match my candle holders! I was looking for new placemats but did not like what I found today. I ended up buying the table runner, instead.

Bought few fall clothes, which I did not plan to do so.. lol! They are just too cute to resist! I even saw cute purses, but I just closed my eyes and walk-away.. LOL! There are so many things to look but I run out of time. I need to be home before the school bus arrive.

All in all, it was a great day for me. I feel so relaxed after going out, even for just few hours. Window shopping is the only medicine for my boredom! LOL

Ahhh, can't get my mind off on that purse. It was super, duper, cute purse in blue color which I don't have yet. I forgot the brand name, but it was really pricey. Wish I have the extra money. But, I think I did a good job today. Have a fabulous tuesday night, everyone!

Oohla, everyone! Yup, its me. Shocker, huh? LOL! First of all, sorry about lacking of updates in this blog. My mind is about to blow up with all this moving stuff. I am soooo busy, stress, tired, eyebags, pimples, you name it. Moving is just too much, especially with three little boys. I have things to do, plus, three kids to attend. I don't even have time to pluck my eyebrow, anymore. LOL!

Seriously, I hope everything will be back to normal soon. Everyone in this house is still adjusting, specifically, my kids. My middle child is still debating me about his old and new house. He don't call our new house as his house... it is NOT his house he said.

On the other hand, my son started Kindergarten last monday. I know, it only mean I am getting old.. LOL! But that's life. Anywho, that's all I am up to right this time. Please bear with me!!! Love you all and goodnight!

Hello blog world! I miss you..... it's been awhile. I been very, very busy this days. Main reason? We are moving to our new house! Yayy! I am happy and super excited that we finally got our own house. But on the other hand, the moving is very stressful. With three little kids, moving is a slow-process right now.

Anyways, we got two more weeks to get things settle in before school starts. I want it to be done, asap! Moving is very hard with kids. I hate moving and I am hoping we will stay in this new house FOREVER! lol

It's been 3 days now sinced we started loading and unloading stuffs. I spend most of my time and day driving back and fourth. It's pretty tiring! Decided to take a break and blog, haha. So yesssssssssss! We are moving to our new place and I feel so blessed.
